When she is not spending her time writing best-selling books, Dr. Laura Murillo is the President and CEO of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Under her leadership, the Chamber has achieved remarkable success, setting records in membership and revenue and becoming one of the most influential Chambers in the nation. Dr. Murillo is also the Founding President and CEO of the Greater Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation, where she established the Emerging Leaders Institute. She holds a B.A., a Master's Degree, and a Doctorate from the University of Houston and has received numerous honors and awards for her leadership and advocacy. In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Murillo is actively involved in various community organizations and serves on multiple boards and committees.
